Info for Congregational Meeting this Sunday (6-21-15)

We received the official loan approval letter from National Covenant Properties (N.C.P.)! You can read the letter and certification affidavit by clicking here and here.  Copies of the letter are also available at the information counter at the ministry center.

N.C.P. requires a congregational vote to accept the loan and its signing.  The loan information will be reviewed at the congregational meeting this Sunday, June 21st following the 2nd service.  The resolution that will be voted on can be viewed here.

You do not need to be a member to attend the meeting.  All are welcome!  Please reach out to me or the church office if you should have any questions.

Praise God for his continued guiding hand on Celebration Covenant Church as we reach, teach and unleash committed followers for Jesus.

Loan Approval? - Phase 2 Building Project

Great news!  The National Covenant Properties Board approved our loan
application for Phase 2 financing!

Please plan to attend a congregational meeting on Sunday, June 21st immediately after 2nd service.  We will review the terms of the loan and members will have an opportunity to vote to approve the financing terms.

Details about the financial terms of the loan will be made available in the days ahead of the meeting (as soon as we have them from N.C.P.).

A big thank you to the Building Team and Building Finance Team for all the work that has gone into the building plans and loan application.  Also, thank you to the men, women and children of Celebration who God is using to reach, teach and unleash committed followers for Jesus!

In Christ,

Craig Paulsen
Church Chairperson

We have taken our 1st "BIG STEP" foward

First off, I want to say Jesus Christ is Risen. Hell has lost the keys to death!! Yes Lord and thank you Lord. We had a great Easter Sunday at Celebration. Pastor Roo's message was on point as always! We had a large group of worshipers and as always the music was awesome (says me, the bass player)!

But even more exciting, the Celebration Covenant Church General Contractor Selection Team, has selected a general contractor to head up our Phase 2 project!

We are excited to announce our partnership with Boyd Jones Construction (http://boydjones.biz/). They presented their plans for our Phase 2 project and really impressed our General Contractor Selection Team. The team from Boyd Jones will now start to work with Gary Nielsen from Nielsen Mayne Architecture (http://nielsenmayne.com/) to make God's plans for us come to life.

This is so exciting. We could be using our new classrooms next Easter. God is moving and were are following His lead.

"Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock." Matthew 7:24.

All the Kids!

Wow, did you see all the kids at the 10:30 service yesterday?

There had to be about a bazillion up there with Pastor Roo. The Sunday School rooms we filled! Just one more example of why we need this new addition to the building.

God is bring the kids in! That means Mom &/or Dad are coming with them. God is really doing some cool things on our little corner of 168th and Giles. Continue to use us for Your Kingdom!

Thank you God!

The Vote is in...

We are excited to share that the congregational meeting on Sunday resulted in a unanimous vote to approve the phase 2 ministry center expansion plans!  The expansion will provide much needed ministry space with 4 additional classrooms, an office space for up to 8 staff, a youth commons area/safe shelter area, new prayer room and additional storage.

The next step is for an architectural agreement to be completed between our architect, Gary Nielsen with Nielsen, Mayne Architecture.  Once completed, Gary and his team will move into the project design phase.  Throughout this time, the building team will meet regularly with Gary to review and discuss design details.

Preparations for submitting the National Covenant Properties loan application will also begin and can be submitted after construction bids are received.  This is targeted for early to mid-summer.  Lord willing, a ground breaking will occur this fall!

Praise God for this opportunity to continue on the amazing adventure to reach, teach and unleash committed followers for Jesus.

Post your questions here

We were just emailed the following question:

Is it possible to have one door with a push button opener for people in wheelchairs?  There are times when no one is at the door to hold it open for those people.  Even those using walkers or carrying small children can benefit.

I think this is a great idea and will make sure it gets forwarded!
